Information about buyers

• From Stripe after a purchase: your email, business name, billing country, and Stripe customer, payment and subscription identifiers. We never receive full card numbers.
• Our purchase records: what you bought, when, and whether it was paid, refunded, disputed or canceled.
• Sign-in cookies: random tokens whose hashes we store to recognize your browser. They are essential for access and are not used for tracking.
• If you email us, the message and your email address.

How we use it

To deliver and restore access, answer support requests, handle refunds and disputes, prevent misuse, and keep business and tax records.

Who processes it

Stripe and Link process payments, receipts and order management under their own privacy terms. Our hosting and email providers store and route data for us. We do not sell buyer account or payment information, and we do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Information in reports

Reports contain public NYC Open Data records about construction projects: addresses, job and permit numbers, filed work descriptions, permit and filing statuses and dates, filed cost and floor area where stated, and related or earlier jobs. They also contain registered contractor business fields from the DOB License Info registry (business name, license number and status, and the business phone and address listed there), and an owner entity or design firm when the filing names a business.

A registered contractor business can be a sole proprietorship, so a registry-listed business phone or address can also reach a person. We show these fields only as they are listed in the public registry and do not verify who answers a listed phone. We exclude the personal email addresses and individual owner name and contact fields found in the raw source records.

Retention and requests

Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. To ask about or correct your information, email support@commercialrenovationwatch.com. Payment data held by Link can also be managed through Link.
